What is imgi?
imgi is a free before and after image slider for comparing two images side by side. Drop in a before and an after, drag the slider across the difference, and see exactly what changed: game mods and texture packs against vanilla, AI upscales and DLSS presets against their sources, photo edits against originals, renders, and compression tests.
Why use a slider
Side by side screenshots hide small differences. A comparison slider puts both images in exactly the same place, so texture, sharpness, banding, and color shifts become obvious the moment you drag. When the difference matters, this is the fastest way to show it.
Every comparison becomes a permanent short link you can share with anyone. No account is needed, viewers get the same interactive image slider with no app or signup, and you can embed it on your own site or export the pair as a GIF. Is imgi free?
Yes. Uploading, comparing, sharing a permanent link, and embedding are all free with no signup.
What image formats can I compare?
PNG, JPG, WebP, and GIF. For the sharpest before/after, use two images of the same dimensions.
Do my images stay online forever?
Shared links are permanent while the tool is running. You can delete any upload at any time, and you can mark an upload private so only you can open it.
Can I embed a comparison on my own site?
Yes. Every comparison has an embed snippet that drops the slider straight into your page, sized to your image.
Does imgi compress my images?
No, not unless you ask it to. By default the file you upload is the file viewers get, byte for byte, with zero recompression. If you want smaller, faster-loading files you can turn on Compress when uploading. Offline mode never uploads anything at all, so nothing is touched there either.
How do I compare two images with the slider?
Open imgi, drop in a before and an after, and drag the image slider across the middle. Both images stay locked in the same place, so the only thing that changes is what your edit did. Add labels to mark each side, then publish for a shareable link.
Can I compare AI upscales, game mods, or photo edits?
